Our Richmond office is looking for an experienced Environmental Project Manager to provide technical and professional expertise to the commercial/industrial and government sectors within the industry.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ consulting experience
- Professional designation (P. Eng, P. Geo, RP Bio, P.Ag.)
- A strong environmental project management track record
- Experience in Stage 1, 2 PSI, DSI, and remediation of contaminated sites
- Familiarity with Contaminated Sites Regulation
- Experience compiling CEAA reports
- Experience with environmental permitting
- Client relations experience especially contractors banks, brokers and developers
Responsibilities:
- Assess the environmental effects of a project and communicate the associated risks to the customer
- Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations (PSI’s) and Detailed Site Investigations (DSI’s), site remediation/risk management, site-specific risk assessments, environmental impact assessments, and environmental compliance auditing on a variety of properties including commercial, industrial and government facilities
- Liaise with clients, financial institutions and other potentially involved stakeholders, including regulatory body representatives
- Write and review technical proposals, budgets, reports and invoices

- Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to follow detailed instructions
- Working knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation/guidelines
- Quick thinking and decisiveness when a situation requires it
- Familiarity with building systems (structure, envelope, HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc.)
- Experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings
- Experience working with environmental monitoring equipment
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Basic drafting (CAD) skills considered an asset

- Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors
