Project Manager, Environmental
Our Remediation and Reclamation Services (RRS) Division in Calgary is looking for a motivated professional to manage projects for Oil and Gas clients.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc., B.Sc. or Diploma in Environmental Science (various disciplines)
- Oil and Gas experience in Alberta or Saskatchewan
- 4 to 6 years’ related experience (initial job title will be Project Manager or Coordinator, depending on experience)
- Able to lead/supervise others in the field
- Experience in Phase II investigation supervision, Phase III excavation, and Groundwater Monitoring
- Exceptional Communication skills – both written and verbal
- Able to write technical reports effectively and efficiently
- Flexible to travel throughout Alberta and be out of town for a week at a time
- Willing to work 60% in the field (depending on the time of year)
Responsibilities:
- Complete the setup, scheduling and execution of remediation field work (Phase I, II & III ESA’s)
- Supervise and mentor junior staff
- Conclude all work, including reports, correctly and completely
- Delineate areas of possible environmental concern (APEC)
- Communicate with team on project planning and follow-up requirements
- Liaise with clients, labs, contractors and regulatory authorities
- Participate vigorously in business development and marketing to new and existing clients

The AREA Fund
The AREA Fund was created by the Ford family in 2010 to provide a funding source for the wide variety of asbestos-related research, education and advocacy initiatives that individuals and organizations are undertaking. It is the only fund in Canada setup for this specific charitable purpose. Our mission is to raise funds for asbestos-related research, education and advocacy projects, and to raise awareness of the devastating effects of asbestos use.
PHH ARC Environmental supports the efforts of the AREA Fund to ensure a healthy and safe workplace. Through our partnership with the AREA Fund it is our objective to ensure all workers are protected from workplace hazards related to asbestos exposure.
