A Duty to Protect Workers.
Workers can be exposed to a variety of chemicals in the workplace. Employers are required to protect workers from these chemicals by developing and implementing effective control measures. Respiratory protection can be used to minimize or prevent worker overexposure to airborne chemicals.
However, for respiratory protection to be effective it must be properly selected, sized and fit tested for each individual worker and workers need training in the limitations and correct use of the respirator they are provided. Respirators must be properly maintained and must be able to form an effective seal with the wearer's face.
Professional Fit Testing Services
PHH ARC's team of qualified fit testers can efficiently conduct qualitative or quantitative fit testing for all respirator brands and models that could be used. We adhere to industry-accepted fit testing standards and therefore ensure that our professionals follow standards such as the CSA Standard CAN/CSA-Z94.4-02, Selection, Use, and Care of Respirators.
Upon completion of the fit test, we can provide a respirator fit test record for each employee/respirator tested.

Want to provide in-house respirator fit testing services? PHH ARC has the training answer for you. We offer a Respirator Fit Test Train-the-Trainer course, which is delivered by our qualified instructors, all of whom have industrial hygiene education experience, and knowledge.
Our course will teach your employees critical occupational hygiene background information related to respirators, and how to properly and effectively fit test workers. This course is comprised of both classroom time and a hands-on practical session where your employees can practice and hone their fit testing skills, all under the guidance of a trained instructor.
