Well-Site Geology services provide on-site geological supervision to deliver reliable and accurate decision-making information during oil and gas well drilling including:

  • Performing Microscopic evaluation of rock type to:

    • Establish the subsurface stratigraphic sequence (order of geologic formations); and

    • Characterise the petro-graphic properties (properties related to flow of fluid through rock), especially that of the targeted zone/reservoir;

  • Monitoring gas and oil being liberated by the geologic formations being drilled;

  • Documenting the above-listed information in a log (Striplog) using latest   software, and sending a Striplog completed during the past 24 hours to the company Project Geologist every morning;

  • Supervising electrical logging (open hole logging) at the end of drilling conducted by private contractors;

  • Maintaining daily communication with the company Project Geologist for all significant matters on-site; and

  • Compiling a comprehensive geologic report after each well is completed.
