Wellsite Geology
Our Well-Site Geology service provides on-site geological supervision to deliver reliable and accurate decision-making information during oil and gas well drilling including:
- Establish the subsurface stratigraphic sequence (order of geologic formations)
- Characterize the petro-graphic properties (properties related to flow of fluid through rock), especially that of the targeted zone/reservoir.
- Monitoring gas and oil being liberated by the geologic formations being drilled.
- Documenting the above-listed information in a log (Striplog) using the latest software, and sending a Striplog completed during the past 24 hours to the company Project Geologist every morning.
- Supervising electrical logging (open hole logging) at the end of drilling conducted by private contractors.
- Maintaining daily communication with the company Project Geologist for all significant matters on-site.
- Compiling a comprehensive geologic report after each well is completed.
